Data held within the RaDaR database are not permitted to leave the UK Kidney Association's servers - researchers wishing to use RaDaR data must apply to the RaDaR team who will analyse the data on your behalf and share the results with you.

If your project is either non-funded or non-commercially funded, please follow the process described below. If your project is commercially funded, for example to assist in clinical trial design or targeting, please contact [email protected]

You can apply for:

  • information about data completeness and/or quality
  • limited data analyses, i.e. up to a maximum of 2 tables or figures, or 1 of each
  • more extensive data analyses.

The first step in the process is to complete an expression of interest (EoI), stating the service required, and submit to [email protected], ideally via the appropriate rare disease group (RDG) lead - they must support your EoI.

See the flow diagram that describes the application process.

Your EoI will be assessed by the RaDaR Operations Group and categorised into:

  1. EoI rejected or applicant to resubmit EoI following amendment.
  2. Applicant provided with information on data completeness/quality within 4 weeks of submission.
  3. Applicant invited to complete a limited analysis application form - no deadlines - data shared within 4 weeks of submission.
  4. Applicant invited to complete a full analysis application form ± costing form at least 4 weeks prior to a RaDaR Data Analysis Group meeting (see dates below). If approved you will be invited to meet with the RaDaR statistician to discuss your analyses in detail.

Contact us if you have any queries.
